• District Municipality of Puinahua, inaugurates a school built with resources generated by the production of Campo Bretaña.  

The educational infrastructure of Puinahua (Loreto), district where the Brittany Field is located. Lot 95, reached a new milestone with the inauguration of the improvement and expansion of Educational Institution No. 288, in its capital, Brittany.

The new school, inaugurated by the district mayor Giordano Mendoza together with several authorities, represents a significant change for more than 170 pre-school children, The students will now be able to study in modern, safe spaces equipped with the appropriate technology to support their integral development.

The work

The project, executed with approximately S/. 6 million from the oil canon generated by the production of the Brittany Field, which is operated by PetroTal, The project included the construction of eight kindergarten classrooms, pedagogical and administrative environments, restrooms, water reservoirs, and complementary areas to ensure a safe and functional environment for the children.

In addition, the following were implemented perimeter fences and furniture and equipment for the initial level were acquired.

Canon for progress

Between January and November, the District Municipality of Puinahua received S/. 25.6 million in royalties and oil surcharges, according to the Ministry of Economy and Finance. With the entry into force of Law No. 31934 and its regulations, transfers to the district have increased exponentially since 2024.

More schools financed with canon

In October, the municipality also handed over the remodeling and expansion of Educational Institution No. 60633 at the primary level, located in Brittany. The work was executed with an investment of S/. 9.5 million from the oil canon.
