Among the main achievements, Edwar Bustamante, PetroTal's senior geologist, was awarded the award for the best technical paper of the event in the oral category. The award was presented by the Vice Minister of Hydrocarbons, Iris Cárdenas, during the closing ceremony.

Their study presented the application of the high-definition geosteering technology (HD-RMWD), an innovation that is transforming the way the Brittany Field of Lot 95 is developed.

Percy Amado, environmental coordinator, received an honorable mention for his research on fugitive methane emissions, a valuable contribution to improving environmental management. Juan Manuel Rojas, a subsoil intern, was a finalist in the congress's Student Competition.
