The operator of Lot 95 also signed an agreement with Cuna Más to contribute to improving the development of children under 36 months of age.
Lima, September 19, 2023. PetroTal, a company led and operated by Peruvians, and the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion - MIDIS, signed two cooperation agreements to join efforts and work on projects, activities and initiatives that contribute to closing gaps and sustainable development in the district of Puinahua, in the province of Requena, Loreto region.
The first of these is an Interinstitutional Cooperation Framework Agreement that will allow the company and MIDIS to jointly participate in activities that contribute to strengthening the capacities of the most vulnerable populations, articulate efforts to identify specific interventions and provide technical assistance, information and knowledge useful to the district's populations.
PetroTal, operator of Block 95, also signed an agreement with the Cuna Más National Program, within the framework of the “Building Together for Early Childhood” strategy, with the objective of contributing to the improvement of early childhood development results of children under 36 months of age living in poverty and extreme poverty.
The company's commitments include the refurbishment of the premises of the day care service for infants, the provision of materials for the family accompaniment service, equipment and logistical support for the development of the program's services.
Cuna Más, for its part, must ensure the provision of child care services and support to families in the 18 localities of the Puinahua district and assume full responsibility for the use of the goods delivered by PetroTal, and implement actions to improve the work plan of the agreement.
During the signing ceremony, Guillermo Flórez, PetroTal's general manager, remarked that the company's challenge is to positively change the history of Puinahua and emphasized that the joint work with MIDIS and the Cuna Más program will have a greater impact on the integral development of the population, especially children and the most vulnerable.
The Minister of Development and Vulnerable Populations, Julio Demartini, considered the signing of both agreements to be fundamental and thanked PetroTal for trusting a sector such as MIDIS to work for the benefit of a population that needs them so much.
