After a pause of more than two years caused by the coronavirus pandemic, a new edition of the Monthly Luncheon of Oil Companies (Amecop) was held this week, organized by PetroTal, operator of Block 95 (Loreto).
Amecop is a traditional meeting of the oil industry that brings together operating companies, industry associations -SNMPE and SPH-, Perupetro, Osinergmin, as well as specialists and other actors in the sector, to learn about the situation of the industry and promote its development.
The host of the meeting, Guillermo Flórez, PetroTal's general manager, kicked off the day with a presentation on the company's sustained growth, its plans to keep up the pace, the challenges ahead and the company's sustainability policy.
Guillermo Flórez placed special emphasis on the implementation of the Development Fund for the Puinahua District (Fund 2.5), a mechanism that will help improve the present of the district where the Bretaña Norte del Lote 95 field is located, and ensure a better future for its population.
In his turn, PetroTal's Vice President of Operations, Luis Pantoja, went in depth on the geological potential of Block 95, the projects outlined by the company, the technology used to drill horizontal wells, among other promising projections and calculations.
The meeting was attended by the president of Perupetro, Isabel Tafur, leaders of the SNMPE and SPH, among others. As is traditional, operating companies reported on the status of their operations.
