Lima, January 20, 2026. PetroTal's board of directors approved a budget of between US$80 million and US$90 million for the development, mainly, of new drilling in the Brittany Field of Block 95 (Loreto) during the fourth quarter of 2026.

«Our investments this year will be vital to recover an average production of 20,000 bopd in 2027,» said Manolo Zúñiga, president and CEO of PetroTal. However, this year, the company projects to reach between 11 750 and 12 250 barrels of oil per day (bopd).

Most of the budget, $45 million, will be spent on drilling, rig mobilization and facilities to bring two new development wells into operation in the Brittany Field, the company's main asset.

The investment plan also contemplates the execution of essential projects for the operational continuity of the Bretaña Field, including improvements in habitability and safety, execution of erosion control (Lupuna Project) and improvements in the facilities and infrastructure of Bretaña and the Los Ángeles Field of Block 131, operated by Ucawa Energy with the technical support of PetroTal.

«This budget responds to the challenges we faced in 2025 and is part of the transition process we are promoting to recover our productivity and reaffirm our solidity and profitability,» said Manolo Zúñiga.

More than S/106 million for Fund 2.5

PetroTal's contributions to the Permanent Fund for the Development of the Puinahua District (Fund 2.5) exceed 106 million soles at the end of 2025. The purpose of this direct contribution is to finance development projects for the benefit of the population of the district where the company operates the Bretaña Field.

To date, more than 35 million soles from the 2.5 Fund have been allocated to social support projects for the population of Puinahua and scholarships for young people in the district to pursue higher education. The Board of Administration of the fund - made up of Perupetro, the Municipality of Puinahua and the organizations JAP and Aidecobap - is in charge of managing these resources generated by the oil activity.

«The 2.5 Fund was created with the objective of contributing to the transformation of Puinahua, but also to ensure resources for future generations with a savings mechanism that we hope will be supported by the board and the population in the future,» said PetroTal's president.
