Two modern Automatic Hydrological Stations (EHA) will be delivered by PetroTaloperator of the Lot 95, The company's main office is the National Meteorology and Hydrology Service of Peru (Senamhi), within the framework of the inter-institutional cooperation agreement that was signed last week.
The EHA Jenaro Herrera and Requena, located in the province of Requena, on the right bank of the Ucayali River, will be incorporated into Senamhi's national hydrological network., This will strengthen the coverage and accuracy of monitoring in this important watershed. Both stations will have satellite transmission, which will allow for near real-time monitoring of hydrological conditions.
The information that these stations will generate will benefit the population in the area and contribute to safer shipping for small, commercial, cargo, and passenger vessels. It will also provide early warning of hydrological events in the Ucayali river basin.
In this regard, the president of Senamhi, Romina Caminada, thanked PetroTal for this contribution and emphasized that the information generated will strengthen the capacity to prepare for weather events and reinforce the safety of those who travel along the region's rivers.
