Juan Carlos Belaunde, the company's Institutional Relations Manager, will head the new decentralized office.

The National Society of Industries (SNI) inaugurated its regional headquarters in the city of Iquitos and awarded PetroTal, a company led and operated by Peruvians, the presidency of this new decentralized office.

Juan Carlos Belaunde, Institutional Relations Manager of PetroTal, will serve as president of the Loreto regional headquarters and will seek to position it as a relevant actor in the economic development of Loreto through a productive relationship between the public and private sectors.

"Our primary purpose will be to facilitate the growth and prosperity of companies established in this region and throughout the Amazon, encouraging greater value for all," said Belaunde regarding the objective for his administration.

The new regional headquarters of the SNI seeks to ensure that Loreto's industrialists are heard and that businessmen have their own voice on issues related to their sector.

Juan Carlos Belaunde is joined on the board of directors of the regional headquarters by Javier Mayama, executive of Honda del Perú, as first vice-president, and Mariella Paredes, from Arca Continental, as second vice-president. PetroTal, operator of Block 95, is currently the main oil producer in the country and one of the largest investors in the exploration and exploitation of crude oil in Peruvian soil.
