PetroTal recorded average oil sales of 18,028 barrels of oil per day (bopd) and production of 18,414 bopd in the third quarter of the year from the Brittany Field of the Lot 95 and the Los Angeles Field in Block 131, the latter operated through Ucawa Energy.
In the case of the Brittany Field, the company's main asset, average production reached 17,938 bopd, which is equivalent to represents an increase of 21% compared to the same period in 2024.
«While our third quarter financial and operating results remain solid, We are currently facing challenges such as the delay in the start-up of the drilling platform in Brittany and the drop in oil prices. These factors will impact our budgeting and production volumes for 2026,» said Manolo Zúñiga, president and CEO of PetroTal.
On a preliminary basis, the company expects to achieve a production of between 12,000 and 15,000 bopd in 2026, considering the current scenario. This projection will be updated next January.
In addition, the actively optimizing the development plan of the Brittany Field drilling is planned to resume in the middle of next year, depending on market conditions.
Progress in the construction of breakwaters
The Lupuna project, promoted by PetroTal in partnership with the District Municipality of Puinahua, The company is progressing with the construction of steel breakwaters in Brittany, which are intended to halt erosion in the area where the company operates.
This system will allow to safeguard the Brittany countryside and nearby populations. «The breakwaters not only protect against erosion, but also create the necessary conditions for the development of social infrastructure in the area,» commented Manolo Zúñiga.

More canon for Puinahua
From January through October of this year, the District Municipality of Puinahua has received S/22.4 million from canon and oil surcharge, according to the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
This amount equals total received in 2024, The year in which the law that modified the canon transfer scheme in Loreto, prioritizing the producing district, came into force. The efficient use of the canon makes it possible to finance basic infrastructure works and contribute to closing social gaps for the benefit of the local population.
