▪️ Mammal was registered and safely transported to its natural habitat..
A sloth bear, commonly known as “pelejo”, was passing through the operation of the North Brittany field of the Lot 95, by PetroTal.
Last January 31, the sloth was sighted at Location 2 in the field and immediately proceeded to register it and transfer it safely to its natural habitat, as established in the company's environmental management program.
The discovery of the mammal at PetroTal's operations demonstrates its approach to sustainable oil activity, the effectiveness of its Biodiversity Monitoring Plan and its commitment to the protection of local wildlife.
In this way, the company contributes to debunk the myth that oil activity cannot be carried out in sensitive areas due to their high biodiversity; on the contrary, it is a strong evidence that it is possible for industry to coexist with the environment.
