• *PetroTal and Schlumberger del Peru joined forces to deliver modern equipment for the benefit of school children in the district where the Bretaña Norte field is located.

A modern computer laboratory equipped with 21 computers, printer, projector, special furniture, among other equipment, was delivered by PetroTal, operator of Block 95, and Schlumberger del Perú -one of its main contractors- to the Héctor García Vásquez secondary school in the town of Bretaña, capital of the Puinahua district (Requena, Loreto region).

They also delivered nine modern computers to the Municipal Library so that its users -children and teenagers from Brittany- can surf the Internet, learn to use digital tools and improve their learning.

Schlumberger (SLB) was in charge of providing the equipment for the computer laboratories and, in alliance with PetroTal, delivered the equipment to the school authorities, parents and students and to representatives of the Puinahua District Municipality.

Walter Rodríguez, principal of the Héctor García Vásquez school, believes that the new infrastructure and equipment will guarantee a better level of learning for his students.

“It is an immense emotion to have this modern computer room because those of us who are teachers and know about technology know that it is something valuable. Brittany now has the opportunity to be at the same level of a large city,” he said, considering that the equipment delivered is a “dream” come true. The teachers and parents expressed their deep gratitude to the companies for the implementation of the project that will generate a positive change and better opportunities for the schoolchildren of the Puinahua district, where the Bretaña Norte del Lote 95 Campus is located.
