- PetroTal, operator of Block 95, has signed an agreement with Aniquem that promotes the «Recycle to Help» program to bring welfare and hope to needy patients.
The comprehensive and free rehabilitation provided by the Asociación de Ayuda al Niño Quemado (Aniquem) to children who have suffered burns will be strengthened thanks to the framework cooperation agreement with PetroTal, operator of the Brittany Field in the Lot 95 (Loreto).
This agreement will allow PetroTal support the «Recycle to Help» program» which will generate economic resources for Aniquem through the valorization of reusable waste from the Brittany Field, located in the district of Puinahua. These wastes include paper, cardboard, plastics, scrap metal, electronic equipment, aluminum, among others.
The income earned will co-finance the rehabilitation service for underprivileged children provided by the NGO, as well as its prevention programs to reduce burn accidents in vulnerable areas of the country.
United for a cause of solidarity
Guillermo Flórez, general manager of PetroTal, highlighted the exemplary work of Aniquem and stated that, with this agreement, the company contribute to their cause through efficient solid waste management, as part of its environmental management strategy.
Dr. Raúl Rodríguez, president of Aniquem, thanked PetroTal for its support. for thinking of children, especially in those treated by his institution. «Every year we receive at least 360 new patients, to whom we provide comprehensive support so that they can recover their health and hope,» he said.
This synergy between PetroTal and Aniquem strengthens a program aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, which serves a very vulnerable population through the appropriate use of reusable waste.
