Officials from the District Municipality of Puinahua participated in an internship in Lima The main objective is to strengthen their capacities in public management and budget execution.

In the sessions, participants received training on vital issues to promote public investments and efficient administration, such as the management of the Invierte.pe platform, the new Foncomún guidelines, the scope of the social programs of the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion, among others.

It is also addressed Puinahua's Concerted Local Development Plan and the use of the oil canon received by the municipality. The transfer of these resources has increased exponentially since 2024, following the enactment of a new law for their distribution in the Loreto region, which prioritizes the producing districts.

Initiative promoted by PetroTal

The internship is part of the technical support service that promotes PetroTal, The company is the operator of Lot 95, through the Center for Competitiveness and Development (CCD). This initiative seeks to strengthen municipal management and promote more efficient and sustainable development in Puinahua.

Visits and learning from best practices

As part of the program, the delegation visited the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), the Institute of Government and Public Management of the San Martín de Porres University (USMP) and the municipalities of Santiago de Surco and Santa Anita., Both municipalities have a budget execution level of more than 85% in order to receive training and learn about good practices in municipal administration.
