- Students from the Loreto district are benefiting from a project financed with resources generated by the production of the Brittany Field of Lot 95.
The Board of Directors of the Permanent Development Fund of the District of Puinahua (Fund 2.5) approved a development project that will benefit nearly 280 students in higher education, The company has provided a university and technical school in this district of Loreto with financial support to cover part of the costs of their studies.
At its twenty-fourth session, the board approved the disbursement of the “Higher Technical and University Education Program”, called Beca Fondo 2.5, which is financed with PetroTal's contributions generated by the production of the Brittany Field of the Lot 95.
The beneficiaries, who come from all the localities and communities of Puinahua, will receive the support corresponding to the months of March, April and May for the 2.5 Scholarship Fund,
PetroTal contributes 2.5% of the value of its audited production to the Fund 2.5 The purpose of this program is to finance development projects for the benefit of the population, as is the case with this program that promotes higher education.
To maintain the scholarship, students must meet certain requirements such as having a good academic performance, showing ethical and professional behavior, being committed to their population, among others.
The board session was attended by attendance of accredited representatives of all its members: Perupetro, Puinahua District Municipality, Puinahua Autonomous Board (JAP) and the Indigenous Association for the Development and Conservation of Bajo Puinahua (Aidecobap), and with the technical assistance of the Ministry of Energy and Mines and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
