▪️ Personnel and equipment are guaranteed to contain the spill caused by an accident when two barges of the shipowner Henry, contracted by the company Novum, were being ruddered.

PetroTal, operator of the Lot 95informs the public of the following:

▫︎ Today, at 5:30 a.m., the shipowner Henry, who transports the crude oil that the company Novum buys from the operator of Block 95, requested PetroTal's support to control an oil spill in the river, which occurred after two of his vessels were seized, approximately two kilometers from our operation (Puinahua district - Loreto).

▫︎ Immediately, PetroTal -in support of the Henry's convoy- activated its Contingency Plan by which properly trained and equipped brigades arrived at the point of the incident and managed to control the hydrocarbon leak.

▫︎ The event occurred outside PetroTal's control area. Investigations will begin immediately, while containment and cleanup efforts are underway.

▫︎ Henry Transportation Company, owner of the damaged barges and Novum's contractor, has committed to provide the necessary support to the affected communities and to deliver water and food.

▫︎ PetroTal has informed and is in permanent communication with the national and local authorities, as well as with the leaders of the district of Puinahua to provide information about the event in a transparent manner. In addition, it commits to maintain an open channel of communication and to report the results of the investigations into the causes and consequences of the event.
