*After the temporary resumption of Section II of the ONP, Petroperu was able to pump crude oil from the Bretaña Norte field to the port of Bayóvar.

*Petroperu's successful bidding process will generate significant foreign exchange income for the country and resources with which the company will strengthen its operational and social investment in Loreto.

Lima, June 16, 2022. PetroTal, a Peruvian-led and operated company, announced that Petroperu yesterday awarded 720 thousand barrels of crude oil produced in the Bretaña Norte field in Block 95 (Loreto).

The successful bidding carried out by the state-owned company will generate an important income of foreign currency to the country and resources with which PetroTal will strengthen the operational investment in Block 95, which will help to boost the national and social economy, through projects that will benefit the Loreto region and, especially, all the localities of the Puinahua district, where the Bretaña Norte field is located.

One of PetroTal's main initiatives, from a social perspective, is the Fund for the Development of the Puinahua District, to which it allocates the value of 2.5% of its controlled crude oil production, with the objective of financing works and projects that benefit all the district's localities, without any discrimination whatsoever.

Luis Pantoja, PetroTal's general manager, highlighted Petroperu's efforts to resolve the social conflicts surrounding the pipeline so that it can operate without problems or stoppages that affect the oil industry and the country's economy.
